Prepare Baking sheet
METHOD
STEP 1
1. Preheat the oven 175 degrees.
STEP 2
2. Put the butter in a big bowl. Cut open half the vanilla stick in the length and scrape out the marrow. Stir the vanilla marrow and the sugar through the butter. Then stir the egg yolk until it becomes an even mass. Then add the flour with the salt and stir well with a wooden polloon until the dough has come together. Then knead by hand until it is a smooth dough that can be sprayed later.
STEP 3
3. Divide the dough into two equal parts. You mix some with the cocoa powder. Then insert the two colours dough into the two spray bags.
STEP 4
4. Cover a baking tray with baking paper. Spray with the vanilla dough a zigzag track of about 2 cm wide and 6 - 7 Inches long. Keep sufficient distance between the sprites. Now spray the cocoa dough with the same zigzag movement against the vanilla lanes. During baking they will become one cake together.
STEP 5
Tip from Annemarie: spray a little dough between the baking tray and the baking paper to stick it. This way the baking paper stays well while spraying the sprites.
STEP 6
5. Slide the baking tray in the middle of the oven and bake the cakes 15 - 18 for minutes cooked or until the vanilla dough has a beautiful golden brown colour.
STEP 7
Well, then you just need a little patience to let them cool down... quickly take a bite (or just a whole sprits) after that, because they are irresistibly tasty.
STEP 8
