BEFORE YOU START
Preheat to 180°C · 356°F
METHOD
STEP 1
Beat the butter and sugar creamy with a (hand) mixer. Then add the flour, salt, vanilla extract, egg and contents of 2 sachets of Chaimix and knead to a compact dough. This can be done by hand or with the machine. Pack the dough in holding foil and put in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
STEP 2
Cover a baking tin with baking paper and remove the dough from the refrigerator. Cut flat slices of the dough that you then roll out to a slice of half an inch. Use molds or the top of a narrow glass to stick the biscuits out of the dough. Then put these on the baking paper. This can be quite close to each other, because they do not deform in the oven. Repeat with the other dough and knead the excess dough after protruding to a ball that you then roll out again.
STEP 3
Put your baking tin in the refrigerator for another 30-60 minutes to cool well. If your baking tin doesn't fit in the refrigerator, you can also use cutting boards.
STEP 4
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the biscuits in about 15 minutes until they are cooked and golden brown in colour. Let cool, make a cup of tea and enjoy it with a cookie.
