METHOD
STEP 1
Preparation time: 60 minutes
STEP 2
You start by making the frangipane. Beat the butter and bastard sugar with a mixer. Then knock through the egg, flour and almond flour. Et voilà, that's all you got to do.
STEP 3
Remove the packets of puff pastry from the freezer and leave to thaw. Once they're thawed, but you're not done cutting. Then put them in the fridge. If the dough gets too hot, it's hard to work with it. You can 1 Leave your package in the fridge anyway until you need it.
STEP 4
Peel the apples, remove the cores with the apple drill and cut the apples into three slices of equal thickness. Apply the apple rings slightly with lemon juice. Mix the cinnamon with the sugar and place separately in a deep bowl.
STEP 5
Put a puff pastry petal on your worktop and put on an apple ring above it. Fill the hole with frangipane. Make the edges of the pastry petal slightly moist and then place the next pastry petal on top. Now stick out both leaves at once with something with a diameter of 10 cm (this can be done with a protrusion ring, but a reverse tray can also work fine). Press the edges well and make sure it is closed.
STEP 6
Repeat this process until the puff pastry is finished. Meanwhile heat a large pan with thick bottom with the fryer oil until 180 degrees or the frying pan.
STEP 7
Bake the apple beignets in the hot oil in total 6 minutes until they're golden brown. Turn 3 minutes away. Remove the beignets, let them leak very briefly on kitchen paper and then pull through the cinnamon sugar so that it sticks well. Make sure you have a bowl of kitchen paper ready to be stored.
STEP 8
Tip: If you want to warm up the apple beignets later, you can do it in the oven in such a 8-10 minutes on 180 degrees. Cover them with aluminum foil.
STEP 9
We strongly recommend you to make these apple beignets with frangipane for all your friends and family during Old & New. 'Cause believe us, they'll owe you some in the new year.
